Festival Brochure

This brochure was made for the music festival The Big Up, which originally took place in August 2010. It was reworked for 2018 with much of the same lineup and the same location, though the rest of the body copy is made up. Original branding for The Big Up was space-themed, which was incorporated here in typefaces and color choices. The brochure is based around a giraffe mascot instead of something more typical like an astronaut or alien, with the idea of the giraffe and its height evoking upward movement. This project was my first foray into typography, and I learned a great deal about how to space letters and lines for the purpose of legibility.
