MacArthur Fellow Biographical Poster
This two-sided poster was made to talk about the work of an influential person chosen as a MacArthur Fellow. Every year the MacArthur Foundation awards grants to distinguished people in different fields, such as the arts and sciences. Dawn Song was a computer scientist chosen in 2010 as a Fellow, and this poster uses typographic manipulation to describe her work. Neutral grays and black are used for most elements, with primary colors comprising a few details. Inspiration was taken from computer motherboards for the linework featured throughout, and Dawn Song’s name also features some dissonant glitch-like accents to denote her work in stamping out computer vulnerabilities.
